Hi all

I'm wondering what of the following accounts I can set a /bin/false shell for and the system still work OK. Its a Debian box with shadow passwords running as a web server to serve up MySQL data to the Web.

Im pretty sure I can set all of the following to to bin/false. Is that right?
However another possibility is to remove one or more of the acounts as it will not be running postgres, irc chat a printer or news etc.
Whats backup,proxy,operator,list?
Is removing an account better than setting a nologin shell? or will some Debian package complain if an account is missing?
