I'm thinking of having my users switch exclusively to using Squirrelmail. There are not a lot of users (about 20) or mail (500/day) , but at least one of the users has a habit of allowing her inbox to run up to thousands of messages without clearing it (currently just over 6000 messages!).
She also has a problem with spam - she gets up to 200 a day, currently filtered reasonably well with bogofilter. Does anyone have an opinion about the viability/reliability of squirrelmail in this situation? I'm building a complete new server and the set up I have provisionally is Dovecot imap and Postfix, but I can change it easily at this stage. While I'm on the subject, there are some utilities around to change from mbox to Maildir. Are there any opinions about which work better? or traps for the unwary? -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
