It it possible, via a monitor cable plugged into a headless machine, to display all the video signals (from boot time to running an X session) in a window on another computer?
Not that I'm aware of, however there is serial console support in linux. You can have a serial cable between the two machines and use it as a console, great for text based stuff but no good for X - but that's what X forwarding is for :-)
