By the way the script in this howto only works with Slackware. I have modified it to work with Debian/Ubuntu so just send me an email if you want the new version. Otherwise you can just edit the script to point to where Debian puts the data files for screen. I don't remember off the top of my head but it's somewhere in /var I reckon.
