My Thunderbird version is 1.5.02. There's a new version out, 1.5.04. I
had my preferences set to be notified of updates, but wasn't notified. I
then used "Check for updates", but it denied there was any update
available. That made me wonder whether there was something wrong with
the site address it was using. I checked the address. It was using:
https://aus2.mozilla.org/update/1/%PRODUCT%/%VERSION%/%BUILD_ID%/%BUILD_TARGET%/
%LOCALE%/%CHANNEL%/update.xml
Is there anyone using Thunderbird who could tell me whether their
app.update.url entry in about:config says something different from the
above?
