I would like to give a higher spam score to emails with images -
how do
I do this in procmail and/or spamassassin? In my .procmailrc I started
like this:
| :0 B
| * Content-Type: image/gif;
| .y_spam_probable/
This works, but of course sends *all* emails with images to the given
folder - what I'd like to do in procmail is extract the score given by
spamassasin, if there's an image attached add 'x' to the score, and if
the score is greater than 'y', send it to the spam folder.
How to do this in procmail? Or even better, how to write a
spamassassin
rule that just adds a score for any message with image attachments? I
tried reading the rules and the "writing rules" help on the wiki [1] -
couldn't work it out.
Grab the SARE_GIF_STOX and SARE_GIF_ATTACH rules from http://
www.rulesemporium.com/. Then adjust the scores to suit. Voila. In
my experience, both these rules fire on real spam, but only one or
the other (or neither) for ham, so scoring them around the 2.0-2.5
range works well assuming your spam threshold is 5 in Spamassassin.
Shameless plug: I've added these two rules (with credit) to my cutom
rule sets which are available here - http://files.grayonline.id.au/.
Be warned, my rules crucify anything that looks even vaguely
"medical"; they are derived from the rules I use on the gateways at
work (which is a IT/software company).
As always, YMMV.
Cheers,
James
