Hi all
I have fixed my problem. I logged out of Gnome, deleted .gnome2/session from another
console and then shutdown. Then started up and its now I think Metacity as Window
manager and Firefox starts up a normal size again.
Next problem is how to make the text box width of the icons bigger. Its bloody
aweful. I get this as the text for my Downloads directory on the desktop:

I launch it manually.
Im using Enlightenment as WM and not sure how to get back to Metacity
which is the default in Gnome.
I have used Enlightenments save window size and it doesnt work - maybe E
does not go well with Gnome.
