I'm a newcomer to this mailing list.
I'm running SuSE linux 9.3 on my laptop. I'm connected to the web via cable
and a D-LINK router DI-704P. This router also offers access to a printer via
a parallel port. The printer is working properly from a MS XP machine. I
installed the printer on my laptop using YaST as well as the CUPS
configuration on localhost:631.
I installed it as a remote LPD queue which tests correctly. I also chose the
proper driver, but other drivers as well. The result is always the same. The
printer responds. However, it seems to be printing the Postscript code only
although I chose the filter option with a driver.
Has anyone had a similar experience and could help me, please?
