Was it working before (on Windows?) or is this a new setup? Bigpond are in the process of changing their systems over. Some connections won't work unless you login (PPPoE, and probably Heartbeat), some won't work if you *do* login and some work in either scenario. How has the router been setup? Also, BigPond cable can be very flaky in some areas.
