That's what I wanted to avoid. Never mind. It was a "nice to have" curiosity and so far the answer is negative... You have a good point about not having (trivial) flash and other stuff, though this is a headless server. As for amd64 binaries being slower on your amd64 machine than 32 bit binaries - this sounds a bit surprising to me. Maybe it's a memory issue (64-bit binaries being larger)?
