If you are still going to go in this direction, and no one else has already taken care of this, I can work with you for this. We've been running Gentoo ~5 years now, and have a fairly pragmatic approach to it. In some areas it shines, and in others you grind up a bit against the fact that it is a community (not commercial) distribution. There are *certainly* a who large number of gotchas and that-wasn't-obvious-until-someone-explains-it, and that makes your seeking assistance from someone already up the learning curve rather astute. > It would have to be while my other half is at work ie business hours.
