Hi all guys !that's first time i write in, but i'm following SLUG from time.

Impressions about EEEPC are wonderful, hackings are well documented. i do
really agree with martin, since umpc can't compete with low-price of eee,
and they dont have Solid State DIsks, wich are one of advantages in ASUS. if
you add that here in italy we have a bonus for temporary workers, it will
cost you 99 €. maybe you have smthng similar in AUS ?

it is prefect with KISMET, GPSDRIVE, AIRCRACK_NG, and also it is the perfect
diagnose pc, with it's little size and good battery (needs some cycles to go
full power). its components are top quality, and screen readabilty is hence
good, practice is the secret !! LOL

surely space is a limit, but you can couple with portable 2.5" usb hdd or a
NAS ..... compiz make it superb (xubuntu, no xandros anymore, also if it is
good). note that hw/firmware releases are available only if xandors
installed, so watch out !

last note, models sent after january don't support much hacking, since they
don't have the supplementary mini-pci ...

bye from italy, Max
