Quoting Mary Gardiner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Background: my normal mail setup uses Postfix on my laptop to send
outgoing mail. My university has blocked all outgoing ports except 80
(and they may have a transparent proxy in front of that) and 443 on
their wireless network.
Might be stating the obvious, but webmail?
Not quite so obvious, if you don't have any webmail interface set up,
but it is possible to tunnel an ssh proxy through apache. There are
numerous sources for info on this, but something like this:
http://dag.wieers.com/howto/ssh-http-tunneling/
Hope that helps,
Craig
