My suggestion first would be to upgrade your card, WEP is horribly broken
and mac security adds only a small challenge to anyone getting in. They are
pretty cheap now I picked up a g card 18months ago for $60, it works fine in
Linux.

But back to your issue. What version Orinoco card is it, bronze, silver,
gold etc? As iirc Silver and below can only do wep64bit. What version of wep
are you using ( I assume 128)?
Another test would be turn off wep and see if it connects with just the mac
address security on, then try with just wep on, but I would say the card may
simply not support the version of Wep you are using.
