Yeah, but it just makes the edges more defined (turns soft lines into
harder, more jagged lines), it doesn't add any detail of course.
Whether or not that helps you I can't say. It almost certainly won't
make it look prettier.

Yes, but I don't know if you can use the GUI or would have to do some
commandline or script work. There may be some add-ons that could help
you.
