I'd like to withdraw my seconding of Melissa. I cannot in good conscience support a candidate for secretary who, even before being elected, is trying to have members removed from the association on the basis of (as far as I know) a single ambiguous action on IRC. To be clear: I'm not saying that I feel that fanny-patting is appropriate - for either meaning of fanny, regardless of whether it's AFK or in IRC. I'm saying that I don't believe Melissa's response has been proportionate.
