Hi Voytek I stumbled across this really cool the other day. IT's great for answering questions like these, but no many people seem to know about it. Actually, it's not just one tool - there are quite a few, all fairly similar They're called "Search engines". http://google.com is one, and http://bing.com is not google, but it's been getting a lot of publicity lately (plus, it has much prettier background pictures). I tried searching on them for the words "ubuntu boot usb img", and both of them listed https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromImgFiles in the top few results - it seems to give exactly the information you're looking for. The best bit is you don't piss anyone off by asking really dumb questions - and you get results instantly, instead of having to wait for people to read your blather!
