You mean *recursive* DNS, not authoritative DNS, right?

Really? That bites. Most CDN networks have arrangements so that this works
regardless of which DNS server you use.
Can you point to an official document stating that? I checked, and I found
some unofficial comments on Whirlpool, but nothing I consider authoritative
from Internode. :(
