If you're a Firefox user, there is an extension which opens a tab as
an IE tab [1]. I'm not sure whether this addon has all the
functionality you need; the summary states it's "a great tool for web
developers, since you can easily see how your web page displayed in IE
with just one click and then switch back to Firefox."
