FWIW, I looked at the site just now.. Firefox/Linux. No activex needed.
The video is just a standard embedded object.. perhaps they've changed
things since you brought it up?

I imagine once the telecast starts,
$ mplayer -dumpstream -dumpfile ndp2007.wmv \
 mms://ndpwmedia.staging.qala.com.sg/stream03

would be a nice hack ;-)

Of course... why windows media has been chosen as the streaming
platform is a different matter.
