What's the Linux equivalent of: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=powerd&sektion=8&manpath=FreeBSD+6.0-RELEASE and hw.acpi.cpu.cx_lowest (set to C3), depending on level, certain things like usb may not allow you get to C3 and mostly be in C2, at what level is your laptop running at mostly? If it's at C1, it's going to be draining batteries fast. Then there is also auto brightness when switching from AC dev.acpi_ibm.0.lcd_brightness As reference on a new 8 cell Thinkpad X40/41 batt you can easily get up to 8hrs of normal continous usage. _______________________________________________ Slugnet mailing list [email protected] http://www.lugs.org.sg/mailman/listinfo/slugnet
