Yes, a LinkedIn group (or anything else) named 'slugnet' should be
sanctioned and authorised by LUGS, with a clear link on the LUGS
homepage indicating this permission in case 'busy bodies' like me want
to know more.

What troubles me more is that Deepan's original post was sent out last
Saturday and *nobody* asked questions about it until me, today
(Monday).  My excuse is that I'm don't access the Internet on
weekends.  What's yours?...};-)

Fortunately, no harm done and I don't believe Deepan is a phisher.
But we may not be so lucky next time.
