The setup sequence is all the same. 

1. Plug in USB dongle.
2. AutoRun installs the connection utility.
3. The utility resets the dongle from CDROM into serial modem.
4. Start connection, and you are ON.

All mobile broadband modems are powered by Qualcomm chips. The dual 
storage/modem mode device is patented by Cypress.

thanks for the helpful info! How about the MF626? I'm hoping the
situation (with regards to setup) is pretty much the same - but you
know, model numbers arent really the best guide for compatibility.
Anybody tried their hand with the MF626?
