Hello eveyone,

The Singapore Linux Meetup on 18 Mar 2009 generated lots of feedback on the constitution. You can download it from the site:

http://open-source-alliance.sg/FinalDraftConstitution

In making the updates to the document today, I realized that some of the revisions we made would need to be propagated through the document. So, it changed more than I hoped. One much discussed change was the removal of the requirement that Associate Members need to renew after one year.

The most important change was our added requirement that the amount of the Annual Dues could only be changed at General Meeting. This implied that the amount was an item of business for the General Meeting. Please see paragraph 6.2 and its sub-paragraphs.

For those who get a chance to look this over, please advise me of any typos, incorrect cross-references, and other anomalies. Further, ROSES (https://www.psi.gov.sg/NASApp/tmf/TMFServlet?app=MHA-SIR-RO-HOME) requires that the submission must be in MS Word format. Would someone that has a copy of Word 2003 please check the Word-format version of the document for glaring errors of layout?

Comments are welcome, but I will resist significant changes!

Thanks
C David Rigby

Hi,

I used my office 2003 and view the doc, and it looks pretty funny with all the "deleted" stuffs, no idea what is causing them.

I have printed it to a pdf, take a look. ==> http://zhixiong.uuuq.com/ConstitutionFOSA_CDR_Draft_Final.pdf

In the review pane/ Tools > Track changes menu, change it to be "Show Final" - the current setting is Show Final with Markup.

Cheers,
Mohit.
