There is already existing software for smartphones (certainly true for symbian and windows, not sure about android and the like) to route wifi connections via their 3g connections. Pro: no need to carry additional devices. One SIM and one mobile broadband bill to rule them all. Con: your phone's battery life just got that much shorter. symbian appears to be limited to creating adhoc networks (rather than infrastructure)
