To me, getting a smartphone is a con, not a pro...};-) I prefer my phones simple and cheap (although the recently announced Palm Pre may activate my 'gadget lust'). I'm more on the lookout for a non-smartphone solution to enable mobile network connectivity for linux and a 3G-to-WiFi bridging device is one option.
