All hardware calls are requested via PS3 Hypervisor, there's no way to get
to the GPU. Well there ways but the hole was patched up :(.

Btw, you can get cheap atom mother board with Nvidia G9400 embedded, for 250
USD  (mobo only) it should give you enough horsepower for full HD. And
Nvidia has a product that
features ARM and a graphics processor. Not sure if they will release binary
driver for ARM tho. If it does, Chrome OS might be worth looking into.
I'm not sure what are you looking for, are you looking at media acceleration
or some number crunching stuffs?
