Yes, there are at least 2 types of receivers - indoor and outdoor. I think the outdoor one emits 802.11 after receiving 802.16 (or might be configurable to be a repeater instead), while the indoor device will have eth port(s) and acts as a normal cable modem in that you can then use a router to distribute the line.
