JOHN, The original post mentioned nothing regarding a hard coding of the IP address field. If you had presented your question properly, it is without doubt that I would have responded differently.
Perhaps you should read what you are going to send before you actually hit the mouse pointer and send button. By the way, what version of Linksys router are you referring to? I have thirty or forty of them operating in various locations and of different types/versions, too. Never ran into one that could not be programmed. Yes, I do learn something new everyday.
