Our NOC set up performance test between NetWare servers running IPX and NT
servers running TCP/IP, and stress-tested the hell out of them.

NetWare won hands-down. Wasn't even close.

Now, having said that, you have to consider the underlying OS. NetWare for
file and print services beats anything on the planet. Windows is
pretty-much technologically superior to nothing. Except that it is easy
for clueless people (those who wouldn't know what to do if presented with
something like

I'd put any amount of money up against NetWare for file and print vs
anything (yes, even Mac and Linux), and NDS for a directory service up
against anything (especially Active Directory) any day of the week.
