APPO's will not sync up with other radios of different brands. You cant use a APPO on one end and use say an Orinoco ap-100 on the other end in bridge or client bridge mode due to the some semi proprietary info the APPO's pass.. BUT going from APPO to APPO should work fine. Did you make sure you have the mac address of each radio in the authorized mac list in the APPOS so they will allow each other to sync if not that�s where you problem lies most likely..
