We were very lucky. Being in an
unincorporated area, there were no authorities involved since we are under
200'. No zoning restrictions, no building permits, nothing. And my
friend had a gin pole from his days in the business that he let us use and
taught my guys how to erect the tower. Without checking all my receipts, I
am guessing $2.5k, but it was probably less than that as the tower itself was
less than $1k. We were having a hard time seeing it from the city water
tower where our APPOs are, so we hung Christmas lights on it so we could pick it
out with binoculars. Bet my neighbors got a kick out of that! Kind
of fun having a 100' tower in your backyard. :-))
