Hmmmm.   If you run the numbers an 8dB omni right at the outdoor airpoint pro to a 24dB grid should give you about a 5 mile cell.   I'd guess that the antenna isn't really putting out the full output (what coax is feeding it?  if it's lmr240 or less you're loosing a couple more dB or more right there).   How much and what kind of coax at the cpe side?   I've got a 36dB wpop 16 miles from a customer who's got an outdoor airbridge with a 24dB grid.  Speeds aren't great (60KBps or so) but plenty for what we're doing there!   I've been really busy and will be out of the office again tomorrow afternoon.  Hit me OFF-LIST if you'd like to chat about some more specifics here.   marlon   ----- Original Message ----- From: Dennis Burgess To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, August 06, 2003 4:14 PM Subject: [smartBridges] Best and simplest deployment tools I have been having a hard time getting signal.  Most of my customers are around 40% RSSI with Airbridge Indoors and are working well so far.  But, all these locations are within a mile of my Tower.  I have a VERY hard time getting anything over a mile!    Anyone wish to give me some pointers?
