Yeah, you're right, the firmware upgrade DOES suck . . . I saw it all coming
way back when the units were first failing. Probably some bean counter
manager at SB ix' nayed any talk of a recall, the engineers, just trying to
hold onto their jobs came up with the firmware band-aid idea, which I'm sure
pleased the bean counters to no end. I feel like a powerless kid in a
dysfunctional family. Can't get out of the house (yet). Powerless to get the
parents (SB) to think clearly and be honest about their sins. It's like a
bad B movie. <groan>
