Joe,

3 watts isn't the case here.  Try MUCH LESS power to the rubber-ducky
antenna or you will have a fried ear and ear drum.  A three watt
portable PCS device would need a great battery to power it, too.

Not shirt pocket size, for sure.

  Most pcs phones are 1/10 watt in digital and up to 3 watts in analogue,
pcs is in the 1.8-1.9 Ghz and in analogue are in 800-900 Mhz range. I know
many ham operators with pace makers who play with 2.4 Ghz around 10 watts.
Antennas on the roof where it does'nt effect them. I would say as long as
you don't use high gain antennas and don't have them where they can walk
with in a few feet of them you should be fine.
