I think that is what my tech meant. When I
asked him about it again, he said they weren't really bigger, just brighter,
they just looked different from the other ones. The only reason I
mentioned it is that it might be an indication that they were from a different
lot, or manufacturing run. I used to be a manufacturing engineer for Apple
so am familiar with how the whole process works. You don't generally
change vendors in the middle of a run, so having different LEDs might
indicate that they were from a different time period. And then again, it
may mean nothing, we are only talking about LEDs here, so they could have
hundreds of thousands of them from several different vendors all mixed in the
same stores bin.
Anyway, I am just glad they are responding to the
issues and sending out replacement units. All I want is for my system to
stay up and my customers to be taken care of.
