So if we have any that fall within or after these MAC addresses should we fill out an RMA and we get advanced replacement etc etc??

Subject: [smartBridges] Useful Info From sB

Dear Friends,

We hope that the below information will help to take out a lot of the unnecessary friction from this forum.

1) From the messages posted in this forum, it is obvious that some users are continuing to have problems even after the firmware upgrade. This is different to the data available to us. But there is no point in loosing time and arguing about "what could be at fault" and get frustrated in the end. That is why we are offering an easy RMA procedure to get the replacements; you will get the units working for customers while we get the units to look at the issue. We want to get you up and running quickly. The number of such requests is rather small so we will work with you to work out the most convenient method to exchange. Please follow this procedure:

a) Complete the RMA form at http://www.smartbridges.com/new/support/rma_form1.php

b) We will approve it and advise you on the shipping details and the replacement equipment.

c) Send back the defective units with complete accessories and the fault report. This important information will lead us to find the fault and solution.

2) We have changed many processes in our company that we believe will help with the quality and reliability of the products. Each unit goes through a 200 item inspection and minimum 2 hours of high temperature operation prior to leaving our factory. We believe these "Post June" units are OK. We have been carefully monitoring these "tens of thousands" of devices (sB is not that small anymore :-).

We are very eager and "all ears" to receive any additional feedback on these new units. To help you identify these "Post June" devices, below are the starting MAC#s for various models.

sB2110 : 00301A 01E2A6 (aBO)

sB2120 : 00301A 0AB4EB (aBT, 13dB antenna)

sB2100 : 00301A 049DB5 (aBI)

sB2510 : 00301A 093E92 (aPPO)

sB2520 : 00301A 0C36B0 (aPPT, 13dB antenna)

sB2525 : 00301A OC839C (aPPT, 9dB antenna)

sB2400 : 00301A 030E3D (aPI)

3) Lets do ourselves a favor and request all to pitch in by helping to increase the Quality of information exchange. People will loose interest in the forum if they have to weed though Large Quantity of irrelevant information.

With best regards,

sB Tech Support
