I have notice a lot of talks here regarding links, distances, antenna types
and Amps. It is a little scary because sB braggs a 21 mile range with proper
antenna (24dbi) in open space. I took that as a guarantee and I am betting on
it.

So far I have been able to get a signal percent or 22% with a 14dbi
directional antenna using the AirNic and a laptop at 6 miles with decent line
of site. When the 24dbi grid is added to the equation I get about 90-100
percent at the same 6 miles away. Is this good. Does anyone else get the
same or better.

If this works at 6 miles at near 100 with decent LOS I am going to bet that it
will do the same at 10-15 with clear LOS on a tower without an amplifier.
Anyone done this?

Last question. What are your feelings on using utility poles for distribution
of your services and do you think $700/month is too high?
