The values are calculated from the Baseband values (0-40) and the maximum is 40. The values are converted 0-100 scale with formula (-10dbm) and displayed as % values.

( E.g. BB value 40 => 100 %; BB value 20 => 50% )

The percentage value should be able to provide an indication how good the Received signal is.

 

If you think they values are not correct at the simpleMonitor, you can use the new simpleMonitor Version to define your own RSSI to dbm conversion. This way, you will have close dbm reading with the other vendor reading. We have given this option to key in the own values, but most of the time the default values works much better than the manual method.

We recommend the default value which is set by using the formula.

Martin pointed out that the RSSI signal levels and link quanlitys are not

correct in simple monitor. This is definatly my experiece as well. Is this

Keep in mine the RSSI and Link qaulity are not correct in the SB product you

need to log into you access point and get a true reading (if it is not an

APPO)

and or do the manual calculation as to what the true numbers are.
