I had a problem with the ECS K7S5A and FreeBSD. FBSD didn't like the
built-in NIC *at all* and when rebooting, you'd have to hit the reset
button a couple of times and cross your fingers for it to not freeze 1/2
way through bootup. Once up, it was solid.

I've got 3 Win2K boxes running on that mobo, no problem. Well... I take
that back. The machines freeze up if the room gets warm.

My Compaq (Win2K) boxes run like solid workhorses, and my RH8 box (Gigabit
board) runs just dandy. The ECS boards have been the most "problem". I
don't put those ECS boards in anything that I need to depend on. Time for
me to quit buying Frys' junk --but it's so tempting when an AMD 2.0GHz CPU
*and* board can be had for $70. *sigh*
