We just finished mounting our new setup 220 ft up on a spectrasite tower and I seem to be having wierd issues with an AP Total. The ethernet connectivity randomly drops. I have my laptop plugged directly into it and it will work for a few minutes then show disconnect and then come back etc. I figured it was probably due to using the stock 12volt wall wart. I bought some radio shack 18v 1amp units and when I plug them in, the powershot unit's light looks flaky. It almost looks like it is flashing really fast. I tried 3 different units, both neg tip and positive tip. I put the 12 volt back and the light it good, but the unit keeps dropping the ethernet. Any ideas? Anyone use the Radio Shack units for long runs?
