i only
use abi in nema boxes, so far the performance has been solid...not much cold
down here in PR, avg temp is 85 deg.. al year round
Gino
The aBI in a NEMA
box will not handle as well as the aBO in extreme temperature hot or cold.

differnece between ABI???
Well I got two to try and see how
they perform if I can save a few pennies I don't mind doing the extra work of
making a pigtail for them..

The ABI and the ABO are the SAME
radio. So, I'd think they'd handle cold equally well. The plastic box the
ABO comes in is more airtight than the ABI case but it is academic because
no one would stick an ABI out in the wind and rain (they'd stick it in a
NEMA box). If you put an ABI in a NEMA box it may handle the cold
better than an ABO for
all I know.

aBI

FCC
certification is with the Outdoor units.

Okay what is the actual difference
between these two units? I have heard = mixed responses that they are
the same unit just a different case. Are = the ABI able to handle the
same heat and cold as say the ABO if mounted = inside a nema type
enclosure?
Has anyone been using these in an outside hot and cold
environment?
