There appears to be a bug in the firmware where it will show the clients associated even though the radius server was unavailable. However, when this happens, clients are NOT able to pass traffic. Here was our situation: 1.4j.8 firmware. Our radius service died on the server. The client tab in simplemonitor still showed all clients associated even after a reset. Clients were not able to pass traffic. Also, from the client end, running simplemonitor their ABT showed they were not associated. Restarted the radius server and clients could surf.

I have two appo with the .j firmware.
1. put a mac address in internal table. auth works properly 2. change the mac in internal table to invalid value. 3. set to radius auth pointing to a radius server. 4. turn off radius server 5. change appo channel and click reset, client dis-associates. 6. client re-appears within seconds? Radius server is off.
Does internal table have to be empty? Remember, a valid mac is not in the table. |
