We don't understand why you need the user to access the box to reassociate. If the ESSID is being configured for, it should re-associate back to the AP. Tell us what is the problem you had and we will figure it out, could this because of the occasional disassociation issue? A simple power cycle will re-associate back automatically. We have the beta firmware available to address this issue.
Moreover, I don';t think most WISP want users to mess around with the ESSID for association. User level password is always read only, no ability to change anything. That is the common practice.
