I spent a few hours on this myself (and am not finished) finally I just set
the clients up static until I can get this resolved. One thing I noticed
with SNMP is this:
Name: operForwarbBcast
Type: OBJECT-TYPE
OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.410.1.1.3.2
Full path:
iso(1).org(3).dod(6).internet(1).private(4).enterprises(1).atmel(410).atmelm
ib(1).atmelSys(1).operFiltering(3).operForwarbBcast(2)
Module: ATMEL-MIB
Parent: operFiltering
Prev sibling: operIPFilter
Next sibling: operSendBackBcast
Numerical syntax: Integer (32 bit)
Base syntax: INTEGER
Composed syntax: INTEGER
Status: mandatory
Max access: read-write
Value list: 1: enable(1)
2: disable(2)
Description: When setting this attribute to disable(2), the system will not
forward broadcast traffic to the Wireless Port.
It seems to me, by the description, that this being set to "2" that the
broadcast packets for DHCP would not be sent to the wireless side although
my ABTotal that is working is set the same way. I'm glad that you were able
to see the DHCP request, etc. at the switch as I have not had time to do a
capture and was wondering about this setting. Thanks for the info and keep
me posted please. Kirk

I've got several hours fighting this same thing.. Just upgraded the
firmware.. Am going to use a packet sniffer at the switch and see what I
see there... I am still in the setup stage for a new POP and the gear is
all in the office setup as follows:
dhcp server - switch - appo (backhaul) appo - switch - appo - abo
I'm going to use the sniffer in the second switch and see if the
packets
are making it that far.. I can see the DHCPDISCOVER and DHCPOFFER at the
first switch, so I know the request is making it to the dhcp server, and
it's sending an address..
