I have 1 hop and with a second hop on the way.  I have set a personal limit of 3 hops before hitting a wired line.  Any more than that and you are asking for trouble, especially if the hop closest to the NOC goes down or begins getting interference.  I hope to setup redundant hops and wired lines.  That’s another year down the road for me.  I basically plan on making my network one big loop and having a T-1 at two ends of the loop.

Subject: [smartBridges] longest trip thru wireless lan??

Just wondering what the most radios anyones customers are going thru before the wired internet(NOC). How many is to many if you set up back to back ap's for pops? and is there a distance limit (due to timing) or is it just as long as your getting a signal from the previous radio?
