Yes. The new firmware will work with the following setup (ABT2).
3. Fiber...Mikrotik...APPO - - - - - - ABT1...(swich)...APPO - - - - - - - ABT2...Client Router
You can connect ABT to the client router and then you should be able to connect many PCs behind the router. The new firmware will definitely work with this setup. This method is good, if you DO NOT want to pass the client’s MAC to the Miktrotik. Some times you may need those MAC addresses for the accounting purpose. In this case, you can use APPO in CB mode and it will provide complete transparent bridging which allows client’s MAC to pass thru.
However, the new firmware will not work with the following scenario and you need to downgrade to old firmware (please go thru the link for the more details) http://www.smartbridges.com/new/support/faq_ab.php#155

Are you saying that item 1 in your message below will work with 0.01.07 formware? What if the client uses a router instead of a PC?
3. Fiber...Mikrotik...APPO - - - - - - ABT1...(swich)...APPO - - - - - - - ABT2...Client Router
Will this work?
