Hi Carl,
If possible could you please try using bit higher gain antenna at the AP (assuming 14dbi at the AP) like 19dbi or 24 dbi OR either increase the height of the antenna (above the tree level) or rotate(polarization) the antenna to 30 degree towards the CPE and gradually bring up into higher degree. At the same time you can try the same procedure at the CPE side also.
It is essential that the antennas connected to the AP and Clients are in line of sight without any obstruction.
IF still the RSSI value not improved, then it might be necessary to move the CPE to the new location and re adjust to POLORIZATION, DIRECTIVITY OR DOWNTILT to reduce the noise level.

I have 14db1 90* corner and an 24dbi grid. I am on channel 6 and I do have people I have to talk to (walmart and a company doing a point to point) They are on channel one and 11.
