I have seen this also on an APPO deployed on a water tank.  No heat sources.  We cleaned it up and sealed the seam with silicone caulk before redeploying.

This is strange. Are these units located near some heat source? Perhaps chimney or something similar?

We use boxes made from Poly Carbonate material suitable for outdoor environment and extreme temperature variations.

Subject: [smartBridges] Warped ABT Cover Revisited

Today we inspected an ABT that had been deployed outdoors for about 5 months, and found the front cover warped enough to probably allow water to leak into the unit. All four cover edges were warped. The cover retaining screws were still tight and had never been removed.
