Here are the outputs for two Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB ST31500341AS. Their serial numbers have been verified on seagate's website and reported with no problem. The logs come from latest smartmontool cvs version (5.39 as of 2009-02-28 at about 23:30). One of the drive is attached on a serial-ata pci card, and the other one on a pata->sata adapter (to allow booting from BIOS on my old computer - yes I know this is not the most efficient configuration). The annoying problem is that I start to receive mails from smartd because of a misunderstood value about temperature. Data follow. Anyway thanks for smartmontools development and maintaining it.
